In Memory of Sheila and Shasta

This summer held a few losses in our family. Just this week, one of our horses, Shasta, died in a lightning storm. We have had her since she was 1. This year she turned 7. She was a wonderful, gentle horse that Alma would ride and we were hoping to pass her on to Eden when Eden got a little older.

Sheila also passed away this summer in June due to cancer. She has been my dog for the last 11 years. She was a very quiet and obedient companion. Our family is much smaller now and they will both be missed. Lets hope that we have no more losses this year.

Corban's growing

Corban has grown to 11 pounds and 7 ounces now. He offers a wide range of emotions from one second to the next. We hope that he will soon learn to sleep for longer than just two hour intervals.
I'm afraid that I have not been able to take very many photos of him because he really hates to be put down.

New Arrival

Corban arrived on the 17th of July. He weighed in at 7 pounds 8 ounces and was 21 1/4 inches long. Eden has taken a liking to him already and insists on helping with everything involving the baby.

Summer with Grandparents

Here is how Eden's summer is going so far. She has spent her time riding her horse Bud and helping take care of the orphan goats at the neighboring ranch.

What we are up to

I have had a lot of questions regarding what Alma and I are up to these days so this is to answer all those inquiries. We are currently living in a small town in Montana where Alma is working as a delivery man while he is getting teacher certified. He has applied for a few teaching positions this coming school year so we should be moving in the next summer to a new location in Montana. I am spending my days caring for our two year old, Eden, as well has fixing our house so that we can put it up for sale. This week I started tiling the bathroom. I am also expecting to have a baby in the middle of July. Ultrasound confirmed that the baby is a boy so now we have the fun of getting new baby stuff. We are all very busy and happy. I am expecting to go to Colorado in order to have the baby since it falls during the time that we are moving as well as the lack of medical facilities here so if any of you reading this are still in my home town area you may get a chance to see me this summer.

New Toddler Bed

This is the toddler bed that I made out of old doors. It was meant to be a Christmas present for Eden but it took me longer to finish than I thought. I still have one more side to do a wood burning drawing on before it is complete. I'm happy to say that Eden slept her first night in it last night and did great. I left the original door handles and locks on and Eden likes to play with them.

Eden's Easter

Eden really enjoyed this Easter. She had fun decorating the eggs and going on an egg and candy hunt through the house.
This is a photo of Eden in her new Easter dress that her Grandmother made for her. Everyone at church loved it.
