This last week we received 10 inches of snow over night so we have been taking advantage of all the benefits of the cold weather.Eden enjoyed trying to catch the snow flakes on her tongue and she really enjoys sledding with her Dad. She also loved warming up afterwards with some hot cocoa.
These are the newest arrivals into our home. We now have the addition of four kittens that arrived on October 1st due to the fact that our little female cat Monkey escaped outside this summer. Eden is enjoying playing with them and she spends a lot of her time trying to capture them. As you can see in the photos, once she has caught some she won't let them go.
My old dog Sheila still doesn't know what to think about these little spitfires. This is also a new but temporary arrival. His name is Guinni and he will be staying with our family for three months while his owner is in Europe. Eden has already initiated him into the family with the customary "doggy pile".
I peeked into Eden's room the other day to see what she was up to and this is what I found. She was reading a book to her pet cat Boss Hog. Just take a look at the book that she picked out to read to him.
We went camping for the family reunion this year and Eden really enjoyed herself. Here is her enjoying food that's been cooked over the open fire and her guarding the watermelon. I included the photo of Eden and her dad for all of those people who can't remember what Alma looks like without a beard.
Eden & I went to visit my sister and cousins for two weeks. While there Eden played with my cousins children, herded sheep and played at the splash park.
Yes, we had snow! About 6 inches on May 21st. So we had to dig out all of Eden's winter gear (she barley fit into any of it) so that she could go outside and build a snowman with her dad.
Here is Eden with the results of their efforts. We would have gotten a better picture of the family with the snowman family but Mrs. Snowman's head decided to fall on Eden when we were getting set up for it. Eden just laughed it off.
Eden tried a little goat herding, chicken feeding, and horseback riding during the time that the weather permitted on our trip. The rest off the time we just cooped ourselves inside during the freezing rain and snow storms.
